Yes Exactly! Delta P is your friend...but like everything with ecmo...it is a moment captured in time. So if the flow changed..then you need to reset your monitor of the new Delta P. It also is the progression of an increasing Delta P...if the Delta P has increased over 10 points within an 8 hr time frame...with no changes in flow...we'll now you have my attention..and if it continues on....say above 50 mmhg within the next 6 hrs...plan for a change out...and this can all happen with No visualization of clot. I have seen a Delta P of 95...it will not plateau...it will continue to grow till flow is affected...decreasing...and at levels such as this it will happen...extremely abruptly...

Like everything with ecmo...which by the way is a four letter word in and of itself...do not stop asking yourself questions...and findings the answers!
